Why quick doesn’t have to mean careless
Short showers can still deliver great skin if you prioritize the right steps and products.
The 5-minute plan
Minute 0:30 – Prep
Turn on lukewarm water (not hot). Clip hair or use a cap if you’re skipping shampoo day.
Minute 0:30–2:00 – Cleanse smart
Use a pH-balanced body wash and focus on underarms, chest, back, feet, and groin. Let gentle surfactants lift sweat and SPF; don’t scrub hard.
Minute 2:00–3:00 – Scalp check
Shampoo only if needed. If you do, concentrate on the scalp, not the ends. Condition from mid-lengths down (30–45 seconds).
Minute 3:00–4:00 – Targeted care
Two to three times per week, use a body exfoliant (AHA/BHA) on KP-prone arms, back, or thighs. Rinse thoroughly.
Minute 4:00–4:30 – Rinse & reset
Brief cool rinse helps close cuticle scales on hair and calms skin.
Minute 4:30–5:00 – Lock in moisture
Pat—don’t rub—then apply a fast-absorbing body lotion or serum while skin is damp.
